Shades of Thought
I open my eyes, as if for the first time Darkness is lifted, and I am blinded by colors And light never before imaginable An
energy so new and radiant gleams all around me I wonder, just for a moment, if I have died Then I realize, I have not But
I have been reborn With a tender touch and loving embrace I have been awakened Brought out from the lonely darkness Which
once consumed me Into the light of love and passion Which only took one person to ignite With new purpose, I give
myself to him Love of my life Light of my darkness Companion of the soul

Children's Tale
I sat down to read a book of adventure and magic I let my imagination lead, hoping the end isn't tragic Later on
I read the paper. Oh my! What's that I see? An article about horrid acts, talk of satanists and treachery Is this a
review of the book I love? Truly this can't be!
To think fantasy stories are considered brutally unchristian By
this day and age I'd have figured our minds would be bigger than persecution
A boy with a dream, in one hand a
wand. A wizard boy cursed & charmed What wondrous stories, such glorious tales! If I need an escape this book never
fails!
But deny a child such a phenomenal book? To say it's satanic after just a look? It's a child's tale for
gosh sake, like Arthur & the Lady of the Lake
Have we sunk so low? Have we lost our love of fiction? Please
say it isn't so! This genre is my addiction! I'm sure by now you get my gist, so I ask you to sit and ponder this Is
anything that opens a child's imagination truly the beginning of his or her damnation?
Maybe it's just a story.
